Our first Band Competition will be held on Saturday, 9/16 at Monticello High School, 1 Sage Drive, Monticello, IL 61856. Band members will meet at Centennial. Call time is 10AM. We will practice at school, load, and leave by bus at 11:30. Please bring a lunch to each on the bus or at Monticello. They will have lunch available for purchase if you choose. Please bring individually packaged snacks to share and cases of water if you are able to help. Wear long black socks, marching shoes, PE style shorts, and your Rocky Point Holiday shirts. You will wear those clothes all day and under your marching band uniform. We put the uniforms over the shorts and t-shirts so no one has to fully change clothes. The color guard will use the bathrooms in the buildings to change into uniform. Be prepared for any kind of weather. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and layers of clothes are recommended. |
