Travel Update

Monday, March 15  - 5:10pm (IL time) The Band Trailer and 4 people left the Centennial HS parking lot headed for Orlando FL

Tuesday, March 16  - 12:30pm  (IL time) Two charter buses carrying Centennial HS Marching Band students, band directors, and chaperones pulled out of the parking lot headed for Orlando FL

Tuesday, March 16  - 12:30pm   (FL time) The van pulling the band trailer had mechanical problems causing the group to stop in Alachua FL for repairs.  Mike and Frank at A & B Tire & Auto Repair diagnosed the problem, ordered and installed the necessary part and had them back on the road in 1.5 hrs.  Thank you Mike and Frank!!!

Tuesday, March 16  - 4:30pm  (FL time)  The band trailer and 4 very tired individuals arrive at the Spring Hill hotel in Orlando FL

Tuesday, March 16  -  5:30pm (IL time) The student busses stopped at Clarksville TN for dinner.  They were back on the road by 6:30pm.  As of 8:12pm FL time, they are headed for Nashville TN.  They have a LONG way to go!

Wednesday, March 17  -  9:00am (FL time)  They have arrived!  The student buses will be stopping shortly for breakfast.  Arrival at Epcot should be at 10:00am.

Friday, March 19  -  7:30am  (FL time)  We've had 2 long days of fun and excitement.  We spent all day Wednesday at Epcot and despite being tired I think everyone had a great time.  Yesterday we were at the Magical Kingdom all day.  At 1:00pm the band was taken "behind the scenes" to change into uniforms and warm up for the parade.  There were 2 other bands in the pre-parade with us.  The first band was from Indiana and the second band was from Portage WI.  Our kids were the BEST!!  They looked great and sounded fantastic!!  We are all very proud of them!  Today we are headed to Animal Kingdom until 12:30pm and then we will take Disney transportation to MGM.  Buses will be picking us up at 9:30pm following the Fantasmic show for the long ride home.
